Honey Bee Information

I just inspected my hives this morning and found this in one of them. I suspect that this bee colony swarmed and the new replacement queen must have died. When the bee population started to dwindle because there were no new bees being produced the Wax Moths invaded. Normally bees are able to get rid of the young Wax Moth larva when there are lots of bees in the hive. Unfortunately this was not the case here. Without a Queen they were doomed, and I didn't catch it in time. This colony is a total loss. I'll have to clean all the frames out and start over with new bees next year.
