Rohe Bee Ranch

Honey Processing

At last!  You have worked all year long for this...Honey. After you have harvested your supers, and hopefully they are all filled with fully capped frames of golden sweetness, you get the sticky pleasure of processing all that honey.  I usually harvest my supers three times a year: around the end of May, mid-July, and the first week of September.

Supers fresh from the bee yard

A good frame of capped comb

Frames ready for uncapping.  I use a plastic outer cover as a drip tray under my supers.
